Chorizo, Date & Halloumi Canapes

Ingredients:

(makes approximately 20)

 

200g Chorizo Sausage

225g Halloumi Cheese

5x Large Medjool Dates

Cocktail Sticks

Method:

30 minutes

1. Pre heat an oven to 180﮿c

2. Take your favourite chorizo sausage and slice into discs (about 1 cm thick)

3. Chop the halloumi into pieces similar in size to the chorizo discs

4. Take the Medjool Dates. Remove the stone from the centre of each date and cut each date into 4 pieces of similar size to the halloumi and chorizo.

5. Take one piece of chorizo, place a piece of halloumi on top of it, followed by one of the Medjool date chunks before thread a cocktail stick through the middle of the stack to hold in place.

6. Now place each stack on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Make sure they aren’t touching each other.

7. Place the tray into the preheated oven and cook until the Chorizo and Halloumi are beginning to brown a little.

8. Remove the tray from the oven and allow to cool slightly but be sure to serve whilst still warm.
